The Mecklenburg Artists’ House Schloss Plüschow is located far away from the metropolises of the art world. Many of the temporary guests come from urban environments in the world’s major cities. During their three-month stay, they have the opportunity to work on their artistic ideas undisturbed, to engage with the history and architecture of the listed building, or to draw inspiration from the surrounding nature. The exchange between the artists is just as valuable as the exchange with the interested public, who come in large numbers to the Open Studios Day. The artworks that are created are characterised by the intensity of authentic experiences and bear witness to artistic processes that took place on site.
The project was funded by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the district
